The 18th annual Ernest Gellner Nationalism Lecture will be given by Rogers Brubaker on “Language, Religion, and the Politics of Difference.” The lecture will take place in the Hong Kong Theatre at the LSE on 26 March 2012 at 17:30 and will be chaired by Jon Fox.
Rogers Brubaker is Professor of Sociology and UCLA Foundation Chair at the University of California, Los Angeles. His works include Citizenship and Nationhood in France and Germany (1992), Nationalism Reframed: Nationhood and the National Question in the New Europe (1996), Nationalist Politics and Everyday Ethnicity in a Transylvanian Town (2006) and Ethnicity Without Groups (2004).
